October 2008

• Denise Castronovo presents, "Visualization of Spatial and Temporal Data," at the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology and International Society for Exposure Analysis Joint Annual Conference 2008 in Pasadena, California. Her talk was given as part of a special topic symposium presented by members of Tufts InForMID on "Assessing Seasonality for Environmental Epidemiology."

• A poster presentation entitled, "A Conceptual Framework for Visualizing Seasonality in Spatiotemporal Health Data Using Dynamic Maps" was presented by Denise Castronovo and Dr. Elena Naumova at the American Public Health Association (APHA) 136th Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.

January 2008

• Denise Castronovo obtains recognition from the GIS Certification Institute for her contributions to the GIS profession by obtaining certification as a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP).

October 2007

• Mapping Sustainability becomes a registered Trademark and Service Mark from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

October 2006

• Denise and Jim Castronovo presented their remote sensing work at the Boston Urban Forest Coalition’s premiere event: Planting Peace: An Evening with 2004 Nobel Peace Laureate Dr. Wangari Maathai.
